Senior Pastor Steve Cooper

Steve is our Senior Pastor of Eastwood Baptist Church. After completing university degrees in commerce and law, Steve was Victorian State Director of the Student Life university ministry for seven years. This was followed by undergraduate and post-graduate studies with Morling (Baptist) College.
Steve has served as a Baptist pastor for the past 24 years, in Dee Why, Ipswich (Qld), Springwood, and now at Eastwood since February 2009.
Steve enjoys being the Eastwood Police Chaplain and presenter on Radio 2CH 1170 (AM).
Steve is married to Joy, and they have four children. Two of those children are married, one lives in the inner city, and Sharon is still at home.

Rev. Gyong Hou (John) Ree

John is our Pastor of the Hosanna Korean Church which is a part of the Baptist Union of NSW. John completed a Batchelor of Business Administration at Myong Ji University in Seoul, Korea followed by a Master of Divinity at Seoul Baptist Graduate Seminary. John was then ordained in the Korea Baptist Church Convention.
On coming to Australia, John studied at Morling College and has been involved in the Overseas Missionary Training Centre of the Global Mission Society and also the Presbyterian Hab-dong Korean Convention.
John is also a scripture teacher at Eastwood Public School and a marriage celebrant.
