Celebration Service of Eastwood Baptist Church - 2nd August
Hebrews 12: 1-2, Message by Jonny Lam
We are collecting RSVPs from those of you who are planning to come to the 10am Celebration Service this Sunday 2nd August. This will be the final Sunday service of the current Eastwood Baptist Church, and an occasion to give thanks together for the many good things that God has done in years past.
Remember to also include the names of any children who will be in attendance with you. There will be no children’s program this week to allow all Sunday School teachers to be able to take part in the celebration service; instead, children’s activity sheets will be made available, and weather permitting, the grass area outside is open for them to move around under your supervision.
A recording of the entire service will be made, and made available to those who can’t be in attendance (online, and upon request we can also make DVDs for people without internet access).
The current COVID-19 situation has impacted the kind of event we are able to have. The main auditorium can accommodate a maximum of 47 people, and the balcony an additional 14. If you have a face-mask, and wish to wear it, please do so. Sadly, singing is still not permitted, and mingling before and after the service is discouraged. Even so – God is still good, and it is right to come together in acknowledgement of his faithfulness to us over the years. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Please send your RSVPs for our 10am service this coming Sunday, 2nd August to Jonny Lam, email@example.com.
Church Meeting - 2nd August
We will have a discussion in regards to simplified constitution in this Church Meeting. However, we will call for a special meeting at a later date to vote on it's adoption.

As announced in the Church Service, we are taking names of people who wish to be foundation members of the new work:
- All current members can move across to the new work.
Please send Pastor Jonny and Danny a written expression in this regard.
- Those not wishing to continue with EBC as members of the new work can request a reference letter as they transfer to other churches.
- Non members who wish to be foundational members of the new work will need to first become members of EBC under the current process (i.e. interview, and acceptance/confirmation in our church members' meeting in August).
If you have further questions, please text or call 0450 673 676 - Danny V
