We were very pleased to have gotten underway last Sunday with our first Sunday service of the new church. The main auditorium was at maximum covid-safe capacity, and we hope it was a blessing to those who were able to attend.
The plan is to continue working on improving things in the lead up to our formal launch on the 11th Oct. You might have noticed that we had one camera in operation on Sunday; we were testing our new recording capabilities (managed to capture video, but found out afterwards we had no sound - will troubleshoot for next week). This coming Sunday, our plan is to trial getting a live stream up and running in the back hall to allow a spill over of people once the main auditorium is full. Pending a successful and stable trial, we will publish live stream details in following weeks for those who would like to access the services online.
In terms of safety, we want to thank everyone for being patient and largely compliant with the directions given. The one thing we really do need to get a lot better with is the mingling and congregating together after the service finishes.
Please RSVP to Jonny at firstname.lastname@example.org your intention to attend on Sunday. We are also taking names of those who might be willing to join a Sunday service team of some kind moving forward to help share the load. The various teams include: welcoming/front desk, cleaning down of surfaces afterwards, bible reading, leading in prayer, music (singing/instrument), audio-visual, children’s program. We can start you slow and all relevant training will be provided.
