Weekly News - Friday 3rd April
Hello and welcome to our weekly news. Weekly news will be posted on Fridays.
Thanks to Warwick and Gideon for their sermons last week. We really appreciate the time, thought and prayer that went into planning. Originally Warwick was going to preach at our 9:30am service, and Gideon at our 11:00am service. It was great to have both willing to share with us.
Jonny will be preaching this week. Sermons are usually posted up on Saturday so that they are available on Sunday mornings.
During the Easter weekend there will be two sermons posted on the website; one for Good Friday and one for Sunday. Follow the links to the Talks page.
Each week, on Wednesdays, a short Bible reflection will be posted on our News page. Make sure you check in each Wednesday for the latest.
Pastoral Care Team
Caring for one another is always a significant part of church life. At the moment we are adjusting to new ways of reaching out to one another. We have a Pastoral Care Team that is seeking to make contact with people in our church life.
Your Contact Details
The Pastoral Care Team is reviewing our church contact lists. If you are not sure if we have your contact details, or they may have changed, please email the church office on email@example.com .
Please be reminded that no meetings are occurring at the church property and the church office is closed.
There is a secure section of this website under the menu item "Church Login". This is for people who are a regular part of our church community and contains the sort of information that we might give in church announcements or bulletin prayer requests. Please contact Lina (firstname.lastname@example.org) for the password. Please note that the password may change occasionally for security reasons, in which case you will need to contact Lina. Please do not share the password with others.
Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings
It is good to know that some groups are continuing to meet via online video conferencing technology, such as Zoom.
Daylight Saving Time Ends 5 April 2020
Clocks are turned backward 1 hour to local standard time. Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on 5 April 2020 than the day before.
Anyone who is interested in working or volunteering for BaptistCare can check the website which is updated regularly.
Good Friday Crossover Offering
A message from Steve Bartlett: With churches unable to gather in person on Good Friday this year, can I commend to you the annual Crossover Australia Appeal, which most of our churches support on or around this time. Digital resources are available and you will receive the latest Crossover eNews shortly. Details and resources are also available on Crossover’s website at https://www.crossover.org.au/
